Purpose of Role The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Associate will assist the Senior Director of Procurement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in ensuring that the Foundation has operational support to plan, implement and execute its DEI strategy. You will be responsible for helping create an inclusive environment where employees feel respected and valued.
Your role will help ensure that DEI is embedded in all policies, strategies and practices that help the Foundation achieve its mission of connecting, inspiring and empowering people.
As the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Associate, you'll be reporting directly to the Senior Director of Procurement and Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
Core Job Responsibilities - Manage logistics for DEI meetings among different groups, departments and leadership.
- Attend internal and external DEI meetings, events, and training sessions.
- Support DEI related communications including a regular newsletter, celebration of heritage months and other documentation as needed.
- Assist in producing content, guides and other marketing materials for internal audiences.
- Maintain relationships with key internal departments and understand the organization in order to actively cultivate DEI allies across the Foundation.
- Conduct market research, best practices investigations, and industry trends analyses for specific DEI efforts.
- Participate in special projects/initiatives under the supervision of a senior staff/manager.
- Reporting on DEI impact and outreach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Deliverables / Outcomes - Establish and maintain a regular DEI newsletter with relevant and key information.
- Identifying and establishing key metrics to assess and measure results and progress of DEI initiatives and quarterly and annual reports that summarize trends and progress related to DEI goals.
- Centralized internal DEI hub with resources, guides and training for DEI initiatives.
- Project management of ongoing initiatives
- Ensure regulatory compliance by staying up to date on local, state and federal guidelines and ongoing developments.
- Establish and maintain interdepartmental relationships and milestones between the DEI department and other Foundation departments.
Required Qualifications - Demonstrated experience, preferably 3-6 years in diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and implementation.
- Experience creating and implementing innovative solutions to increase employee engagement.
- Strong aptitude for technology with the ability to develop technology-based solutions to streamline and improve processes.
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong research and project management skills.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and across teams.
The salary range for this role is between $59,755 and $74,670.
