What you will do
Johnson Controls the leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate is seeking skilled HVAC Journeymen to join our growing business. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will solve comfort, building inefficiency and other service-related issues.
We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards and advancement. You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support. We will equip you with the safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment and vehicle required for your job.
Journeymen must have practical working experience in commercial mechanical equipment. You may be required to satisfactorily pass a skills examination.
You will perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems and recommend solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently. You will offer labor and material quotes to support your recommendations. We provide cash incentives for executed pull-through work. You will participate in weekend, night and holiday call out service on a rotating basis.
What we look for
Required
Adherence to the company Safety Program.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of chilled water systems, air- and water-cooled scroll/reciprocating chillers.
Demonstrated knowledge of cooling towers, pumps, fans, VFD’s, Air Handling Units, and large tonnage Rooftop units.
A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations
EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
Be an existing member in good standing or be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
Preferred
Five (5) years of Commercial and or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry
UA Star HVACR Certification
VRF Experience
