Salary:

Accent on Languages is looking for over-the-phone interpreters (Spanish) to work from home anywhere across the United States.

Requirements:

• Reside in the U.S.
• Legally be able to work in the U.S.
• Be 18 years old or over

Our Company:

Accent on Languages is a woman owned language company established in Berkeley since 1992. We have been providing language services to the law enforcement community as well as state government agencies and commercial clients in 120 languages. In 2017 we partnered with Language Line Solutions to provide over the phone interpreting services to the Customer Care Center of USPS.

Below are the login times for the Customer Care Center of the USPS:

Mondays-Fridays: 5AM - 5:30PM PST / 8AM - 8:30PM EST
Saturdays: 5:30AM - 3PM PST / 8:30AM - 6PM EST

The way that you are set up to take calls is from a mobile app that you download on any web-enabled device including your mobile phone, tablet, laptop, desktop computer (more information to come during training sessions).

There is no set schedule. You login to take calls when available (between the times provided above). The more time you are logged in, the better.

There will be a background check and drug screening done by our partner company, Language Line Solutions (LLS). After that, there will be training/orientation which LLS handles as well. The hours spent on orientation will be paid.

For this position, you would need to pass a test for both language proficiency and interpreting protocol knowledge.
