The Van Driver will transport passengers to their destination in a timely and safe manner. This vehicle will only go to designated locations as assigned.
- *Shift:** Open Availability
- *Essential Job Functions:**
- Drive van along a designated route to designated locations to pick up and drop off of passengers in accordance with established schedules.
- Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports related to vehicle operation, condition; maintain and document mileage for each trip.
- Submits completed reports and records documentation to Regional Retail Manager.
- Communicates any maintenance, mechanical malfunctions, or other safety concerns immediately to the Director of Safety & Wellness, Director of Property & Facilities, and Regional Retail Manager.
- Ensures proper use of seat belts and other approved safety equipment for passengers.
- Participate in routine cleaning, servicing, and minor maintenance of vehicle as necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, passengers and other customers of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- *Requirements:**
- Ability to complete basic forms such as Incident Reports.
- Displays great customer service and interaction with employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to manage long periods of sitting, and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have valid drivers license, insurance, and driving records acceptable for company-provided insurance while in company vehicle.
- Travel to other locations beyond the assigned work location is required.
- *Education/Specialized Knowledge Requirements:**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; must have accuracy with record reporting, i.e., vehicle usage and safety check logs.
